No piecing, no applique, just quilting lines. Use different fabrics for front and back and the result would be reversible … two quilts for the price of one.

Did you know that almost every applique design, and pieced design too, can be used as a quilting motif? That is why we like to see the back of a quilt as well as the front.
Also, modern waddings do not need to be quilted nearly as closely as those which were made before the middle of last century. After all, some quilters wash wadding before they put it into the quilt sandwich.

Somedays I share quilt designs I like, sometimes I love them … sometimes I just go WOW! Today is one of those.
I chose this project file because I thought something quiet and gentle would be nice, but I had forgotten that I added some colour to the designs remaining in this project.
I forgot all about keeping today’s designs restful. These are more of a wake up call!
If nothing else I love how clear the quilting is.
